Is smoking makrooh or is haraam, DR zakir naik says in his videos that it's not makrooh, it's haraam and i have learnt that it's makrooh?

Answer

According to the Jurists it is authorised but to perform salaah without removing it's smell is makrooh and it may become haraam by doing it persistently and regularly. This verdict applies as long as it does not become detrimental to health.
