To follow takbeers or Imam's movement in salaat?

Assalamoalaikum--when performing Salat behind an Imam,do we follow the imam when he moves to go in rukhu/ sizda or do we wait for him to say takbeer, because there is this particular imam who takes his time to say takbeer after he has carried the action-rukhu/sijda.

Wa alaikumus salaam warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh. You should follow the takbeers rather than the imaam's movement. By the way the correct procedure is that the Imam should say takbeer whilst moving for ruku and sajdah etc.
