Sending reward of good deeds to Apostates and Non-Muslim

Assalamualaykum. Is it permissible to ask Allaah ta'ala to forward the reward of a sadaqah/sadaqah jariya or tilaawat quran or dhikrullah to an apostate and to make dua that with the sawaab of these sadaqa or sadaqh jariya or tilaawat quran or dhikrullah the apostate gets tawfeeq to recite the shahada so as to become muslim again? If yes, can we do the same for a non muslim? Jazaakallaah khayran.

Answer

Wa alaikumus salaam. You can't forward the sawaab of these ibaadaat to Apostates and Non-Muslim, but you can perform these good deeds and ask Allah Ta'aala to accept our dua regarding their Hidaayat by the barakat of these good deeds.
