If the canteen or "caffeteria" in MIE Reduit halaal ?

Assalamualaikum mufti saab I wanted to know the followings:

1. If the canteen or "caffeteria" in MIE Reduit halaal ?
2. Is there any cafeteria halaal in Mauritius University? Well if the answer is in the negative,
3. How do we create awareness among the Muslim on this issue as we see most of the cafeteria is full with Muslims?
4. And what is the punishment for those consuming doubtful and haram?

Answer

Wa alaikumus salaam.

1. For the time being according to our policy we only carry out our halal procedures in those places where they apply for it. Until now this canteen did not apply.

2. Not in our knowledge.

3. Yes you are right and we feel that this is a big problem for muslims. we are also looking forward how to tackle this type of problems. But it is also their duty to be
cautious and abstain from eating in places where doubtful and haraam foods are served.

4. Nabi (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam ) has said:"No meat (of a person) that was nourished with haraam will enter paradise. Every meat ( of a person) that was nourished with haraam is more deserving of the Fire." (Musnad Ahmad, Daarami, Baihaqi; Mishkaatul Masaabih pg. 242, Qadeemi)
