Al-Waasi

Waasi means vast. When someone says that Allah Ta'ala is Waasi, it means that Allah Ta'ala is beyond all dimensions. The Throne of Allah Ta'ala covers the sky, the earth and all the creation. Allah Ta'ala has control and authority over every single thing. Nothing is beyond His kingdom. His blessings and grace are open to all. Everyone is in need of Allah Ta'ala. Nothing is independent of His favour at any stage, level, and in any aspect. The knowledge of Allah Ta'ala encompasses every atom of the universe in all its details. So Allah Ta'ala is Al-Waasi because His knowledge, His power and His favour have no limit.

Every attribute of Allah Ta'ala is a message to His servants. A person who concentrates and meditates on the attribute of Al-Waasi will know that he must not despair in life, whatever the situation may be, because he has a Creator who possesses everything that he needs. He will feel the need to seek help from Him alone, rather than wasting his time elsewhere. He will see the need to be loyal to Allah Ta'ala. He will choose only Allah Ta'ala as his true helper.
