Assalamualaikoum, I have always heard once the rooh leaves the body it doesn’t return back to the world! But someone asked me then how come the Holy Angels receive a reply to their questionnaire in the grave if there is no rooh present. Will be greatly thankful for your kind assistance in replying this.

Wa alaikumus salaam. All that happen in the qabr is not related to this world. Which is called Aalame Barzakh. So it is correct to say once the rooh leaves this world it doesn't come back again to this world.
