Spagric treatment and medicines

Question
Assalamualaikum.
I need your expert advice regarding the medical services provided by xxxxxxxxxxxx at Grand Riviere Nord West. I have heard a number of good reviews and thus decided to visit on Monday together with my wife. We were consulted by a muslim practitioner. Basically in the consultation we are told to hold a magnetic bar. This bar is connected to a machine which supposedly scan our body and then transmit the results onto the doctor's laptop. During the whole consultation there was nothing abnormal. The whole discussion was purely medical. We were astonished by the accuracy of the details the doctor was telling us with regards to what we are suffering from. They were absolutely spot on. And we never told the doctor about any of those during the consultation. He even showed us his monitor for us to see the analytics which is helping him to give us accurate diagnostic. Basically we were quite pleased and he prescribed us medicines which are prepared from the company's laboratory itself. Its all herbal supposedly.
Coming home and thinking about what had happened made me think that it might be too good to be true. Specially when he said certain things on me which were really accurate and which potentially cannot be detected medically. For example: I keep my emotions deep inside me and will never disclose them to anyone or I went at least through 3 big shocks in my life. These are extremely true about me. I therefore consulted a few family members to get their opinion. They showed me some press articles about the company which started to create doubts in my mind specially the fact that they use spagyric medicine. Whilst doing some research on it, I came to know that astrology and astronomy is used in the process. Basically although everything seems to professional and purely medical from the naked eye, I am having doubts as to whether there might be some other forces linked to it which might make all of this haram as well as the medicines given to us to consume.
I am forwarding you the links on those articles as well as materials I have so far. I would humbly request you to take out some of your valuable time to give consideration to it. I have seen that there is a growing number of Muslims going for consultation there. If there is anything haram in their practices then it will be important to relay the message to our Muslim brothers and sisters. Please do let me know if you need any additional information or clarification. May Allah reward you abundantly for all your efforts towards His Deen. AMEEN. Shaffee

Answer
Walaikum salaam warahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
Respected brother,
With regards to your query regarding the above mentioned treatment, do note that it is that it is quite clear that aspects of astrology is being used in the said treatment. Astrology is completely prohibited in Islam and may easily take a person out of the fold of Islam.
Allah Most High said in the Qur’an,
“He is the Knower of the Unseen, and discloses not His unseen to anyone except to a messenger with whom He is pleased”
(Qur’an 72:26-27)
The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) is reported to have said: “Whoever goes to a fortune-teller and believes what he says, has disbelieved in what has been revealed to Muhammad.” (Abu Dawood)
It is also necessary to clarify a very important distinction between Astronomy and Astrology. People often confuse the two terms as meaning the same. Astronomy is a science and permitted, whereas astrology is a pseudo-science and unlawful to pursue.
We therefore advise you to abstain from visiting such places and to repent for having gone there unintentionally.
And Allah knows best
