Making use of interest money

It is Haraam to use interest money. To use it means to use it for food, for buying things for personal use, for construction of a house or a toilet. Thus, all these ways of use are Haraam. Similarly, it is not permissible to use it for payment of fines and taxes. If a person received interest money, then he must give it to the poorest of people who do not have any Halaal money to meet their needs. A person must not use it for his personal need.
