Twisted reasoning

We think that we are very clever. No one likes to be called stupid or short-minded. But in reality, our mind is twisted. However much we shall hide, this is a truth that cannot remain hidden. Do we want to follow good people such as the Sahabah-e-Kiraam (Radiyallahu Anhum) or the Fasiq and the Fajir who are violating the law of Allah Ta'ala night and day? Are we considering the Sahabah-e-Kiraam (Radiyallahu Anhum) as role models or are we adopting the style and fashion of those who do not have Deen? Will a sane person forsake a good thing to mingle with impurities?

We must admit that our mind is twisted. Allah Ta'ala qualifies those who obey Him as the intelligent ones. On the other hand, those who turned their back to the Deen of Allah Ta'ala are those whose minds are blocked and who have descended below the level of animals that do not have intellect.
