Al-Wahhaab
The word Wahhaab is derived from the word Hibah which means a gift. The verb Wahaba means offering something to someone as a gift. Waahib means the donor. Thus, Al-Wahhaab is an excellent donor who is never irritated, tired or incapable of giving. He has everything. He can give everything that He wants. Nothing is lacking in His treasure. And it is Allah Ta'ala.
Allah Ta'ala is Al-Wahhaab because it is He Himself who gives all that which His creatures need anytime and anywhere. Everything that anyone is enjoying or benefiting is the favour of Allah Ta'ala. And this will continue until Qiyaamah and even after Qiyaamah also.
The favour of Allah Ta'ala existed ever since and it will remain forever. It is not restricted to a specific time or place. Allah Ta'ala has the ability to bestow His favours everywhere and forever. There is no shortage by Allah Ta'ala nor is there any obstacle that can prevent Allah Ta'ala from bestowing His favours on His creatures.
Despite all the favours that Allah Ta'ala has bestowed on His creatures regularly, this did not cause any decrease in His treasure by an iota also. It is a door that remains open forever. Here there is no holiday / leave nor bad weather.
The word 'Hibah' means a gift that someone offers to another without demanding or hoping for something in return. The fact that Allah Ta'ala is Al-Wahhaab indicates that Allah Ta'ala has no benefit in bestowing His favours on His creatures. Allah Ta'ala does not depend on anything. He is independent. Thus, He does not need anyone, nor does He expect something and nor does He demand anything in lieu of His blessings. On the other hand, one is regularly in need of His favours at every instant. Everything that one is benefiting is by His favour that He bestowed solely by His grace without any merit on one's side.
Allah Ta'ala has everything that one needs.
"There is nothing whose treasures are not by Us ..." (V21 / S15)
Allah Ta'ala loves when one supplicates to Him. Allah Ta'ala does not return anyone who has stretched his hand to Him empty-handed. Thus, all those who are desperate in life, must not forget that there is Al-Wahhaab where one won’t lose out and one can get a solution for all problems.
Meditation on this attribute gives great hope and develops and strengthens the trust in Allah Ta'ala which is the very key to all success.
