AL-Fattah

Al-Fattaah is derived from the verb Fataha. The word Fataha is used in Qur'aan-e-Karim mainly for three meanings:

• Open

• Victory 

• Giving judgment

We say that Allah Ta'ala is "Al-Fattaah" because it is He who can open the way when a person cannot. He opens ways where there is no way. He has the cure for all diseases. He has the solution of all problems. Nothing is impossible for Him. He has the ability to do whatever He wants whenever He wants. There is nothing that can obstruct His path. If He wants, He can make an immense mountain pass through the eye of a needle.

It is He who opens the door of blessing for His Creatures. The door of blessing is in His control. This is not in the hands of anyone.

"There is none to withhold the mercy Allaah opens to His people and there is none to release the mercy that He withholds. He is the Mighty, the Wise." (S35 / V2)

He is the one who will judge on the day of Qiyaamah. He is "the master of the day of judgment" (Surah Faatihah). Allah Ta'ala is also Al-Fattaah because it is He who opens the heart for Imaan.
