Spider web

Allah Ta'ala has the ability to do everything. Nothing is impossible for Allah Ta'ala. He can make a simple creature do a great work, just as he can render a very sophisticated means unsuccessful in regards to a simple work. Allah Ta'ala destroyed Abraha and his army who came to attack the Ka'bah by means of small birds and pebbles. Allah Ta'ala can use a tiny virus to destroy a whole country. When Allah Ta'ala decides, he can make one climb on a coconut tree as was the case in countries which were hit by Tsunami.

Without Allah Ta'ala, nothing has any strength. Those who seek assistance, help, support, or protection elsewhere, then this is not more than a spider web. A person renders his situation fragile and renders himself vulnerable by turning his back on Allah Ta'ala. Nothing can be beneficial if Allah Ta'ala does not want it to be. But it is a question of Imaan and belief. A person who has Imaan, perceive this reality. But the one who does not have this Imaan, will always try his luck to improve his life and will seek recourse elsewhere, even if this requires neglecting Deen and turning the back on Allah Ta'ala.

Suppose we managed to get what we wanted. Maybe we got the wealth of this Dunya. But if Allah Ta'ala makes us a living corpse, then what will we do with this wealth? What does all reinforcement, comfort, bond, support without Allah Ta'ala represent? Allah Ta'ala said:

"The example of those who take defenders besides Allah is like the example of a spider who spins a web. Without doubt, the weakest of homes is the home (web) of the spider, if only they would know!"  (V41 / S29 / V41)

That is, just as a spider web cannot protect a spider, in the same way no means can be beneficial to anyone who turned their back on Allah Ta'ala. We can perceive it to be powerful and successful, but for Allah Ta'ala, it is nothing.
