Conviction in Aakhirah

When a person likes something, he adopts the required precautions regarding it. The degree of precaution that a person takes is in relation to the degree of importance that he attaches to that thing. In general, everyone likes to be successful in this Dunya. One makes effort to adopt all the necessary means to attain success in this Dunya. One does not hesitate to eliminate everything that can become a threat to one's progress. Likewise, one takes into consideration all the small details that can contribute to one's success.

The effort that a person makes to build his future in Dunya could have been used to build his Aakhirah also if only he knew its necessity and importance but he does not have the degree of conviction that he should have had on the life of the Aakhirah. And yet the Aakhirah is something true that will take place. Thus, it is essential and indispensable to inculcate and develop this belief. The extent of its essentiality and importance is evident from the fact that a person cannot be motivated to practice properly without this belief. And this conviction can be developed by befriending those who possess it. One should stay in the company of those who have concern for Deen. One should stay with those who give priority to the Aakhirah over the Dunya. One should stay in touch with those in whose heart Nur-e-Imaan has penetrated. They are those who distance themselves and detach themselves from the Dunya, those who have a special attachment to the Aakhirah and those who are constantly preparing for death before death overtakes them.
