Al-Kabeer

Al-Kabeer means great, excellent and renowned. Allah Ta'ala is Al-Kabeer because He is excellent and great in all aspects and respects. He is eternal. The fact that He is eternal shows that He is neither influenced nor affected by the environment or anything else. He is beyond everything and He has control over everything. Nothing exists without Him. He is the only one who existed since always and will exist eternally. He is excellent in power, honour and dignity. He is beyond anything which may be blameworthy or attributed to deficiency. The more a person meditates on Allah Ta'ala in regards to His attribute of Al-Kabeer, the more hope and tranquillity he gains. He feels secure because he has a Rabb who can give him everything that he needs when he needs it and where he needs it. Anything that may be an obstacle to the well-being of a person is under the full control of Al-Kabeer. Therefore, whoever knows how to develop his relationship with Allah Al-Kabeer, has recognised the unique path of well-being and eternal salvation.
