Al-Quddus

Al-Quddus is the one who is pure and perfect by excellence and the one who is beyond all kinds of defects and shortcomings. And this applies to Allah Ta’ala only. His perfection and His purity do not have any beginning nor do they have any limit where they stop. They existed always and they will continue to exist forever. 

As for the purity that anyone has, it is a reflection of the purity of Allah Ta’ala. It is like that light or that brightness that we see in the moon. In reality, it is not its own brightness. It is the reflection of the sun that makes it shine.

Thus, the purity of Al-Quddus is the source of all purities. If the purity of something can attract us, then Allah Ta’ala is more deserving that one be attracted to Him because He is the centre and the source of the purity that exist. It is an absolute and an eternal purity.
