Kaafir and Jannah
A person, who does not believe in the oneness of Allah Ta’ala or in the prophecy of our Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam), is a Kaafir. Similarly, someone who does not accept our Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) as the last Nabi in the sense that there will be no Nabi after him is a Kaafir.
If a person has left this world in the state of Kufr, he will suffer forever. There is no Paradise and Jannah for him. He will remain eternally in hell. There is no Janaazah Salah for such a person. It is not permissible to bury him in the graveyard of Muslims nor is it permissible to ask for forgiveness for him after his death.
As long as he is still alive, it is permissible to make Dua to Allah Ta’ala for him that He grants him Hidayah (guidance) and he guides him to the right path. But once he dies as a Kaafir, it is not permissible to ask for forgiveness for him even if it is one’s own child or one’s parents.
