Allah

Allah is the name of the being whom we know as the Supreme Creator. The Supreme Creator presented himself by this name in the Qur’an-e-Kareem. That is why Allah is the "Ismuzzaat" of the Supreme Creator. "Ismuzzaat" is like a proper name. Therefore, Allah is the proper name of the Supreme Creator.

The majority of ‘Ulama consider this name as the greatest name of the Supreme Creator because this name is so vast in its meaning that it encompasses all the attributes that it possesses.

Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (Rahmatullahi alayh) said: "The name Allah is the Ismul-A'zam". However, there is a method of taking this name in order to acquire its true effect. According to Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (Rahmatullahi alayh), the heart must be emptied of all foreign thoughts and one must think of Allah only when taking this name. Then, its true effect will be manifested.

It is not difficult to attain this stage. However, it is not so easy and simple that it can be inculcated in a few days. Everything becomes easy by practising for few days or after a considerable amount of time. Having Allah Ta’ala in the heart is not something small. It is really an inestimable thing. Even if it takes our entire life, it is still very cheap because we would not get it without the grace of Allah Ta’ala. So, let’s try to do it and read it one hundred times morning and evening every day in the way that has been explained. We will see its effect Insha-Allah.
