Value of Imaan

Each little bit of this Imaan is so valuable that it can give one comfort and eternal salvation. A person has eternal salvation when he is safe from problems or worries. He feels complete happiness, joy and well-being. A very insignificant amount of Imaan also, has the potential to grant one this salvation. It is a salvation that cannot be bought by the fortune of the entire world. In this sense, this insignificant amount of Imaan is more precious than the fortunes of the entire world.

According to a Hadith, there will be a person in Jahannam whose Imaan will be so weak that it cannot be detected even by the Farishtas also. And yet, the Farishta who is in charge of Jahannam knows Jahannam and all those who are in it just like a mother knows her baby. Besides, a Farishta is so powerful that he can detect what the most sophisticated devices also cannot detect. This shows how little the Imaan of this person will be that even the Farishta cannot detect it.

Due to the insignificant amount of Imaan of this person, Allah Ta’ala will remove him from Jahannam and will admit him into Jannah. Imagine how precious and valuable is this fortune called Imaan? Now if you say that a person is stupid because he has burnt a candle that costs Rs3 to look for a 20-cent coin, then are we not doing more than that? So, who is more stupid?
