State of mind of a true Muslim

The head of state of the Romans had proposed to Hazrat Abdullah Bin Huzaafah (Radiyallahu Anhu) to become Christian and had promised to share his kingdom and power with him. The reply of Hazrat Abdullah Bin Huzaafah (Radiyallahu Anhu) fills the hearts of every Muslim with joy and desire to live as an "Imaandaar" (true believer) until his last breath. In response, he said:

"If you give me everything that you have and everything that the Arab possesses so that I renounce the Deen that was brought by (Hazrat) Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) even for the blink of an eye, I will not do it."

This is how a Muslim must be in this Dunya. He must not give up his Deen at any time because there is nothing on this earth that is dearer than his Deen. How poor and weak are we in terms of Imaan! Sometimes, we sacrifice our Deen and Imaan for a corpse that will become soil tomorrow. The Sahaabah-e-Kiraam (Radiyallahu Anhum) have sacrificed their wealth, families and their lives for Deen but today, we accept to sacrifice everything for a little enjoyment of the Dunya. A Muslim must know that his success lies only in sacrificing everything for the Deen that our Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) has brought.
