One does not justify the other

One should not discourage a person from doing a good thing due to a certain shortcomings of his. Today, we are living in a time where people are moving away from Deen. As far as possible, they should be encouraged to do good. They should not be discouraged from doing good deeds due to a sin which they are committing. For example, if a person does not perform any Salah besides Jummah, then, one should not tell him: "What is the point of performing Jummah when you are not performing the other Salah". He should always be congratulated for the Jummah that he is performing and he should be encouraged to perform the other Farz Salah. This is because by committing a mistake, it does not mean that he must commit another mistake. One does not justify the other.
