Approval and disapproval of pious people

At this stage, it is to be noted that the approval and disapproval of pious and sincere people who have been blessed with the knowledge of Deen, is of great value in Deen and it deserves to be taken into consideration. To consider things as good or evil, according to the consideration of these people, is not because they are allowed to decide what is good or evil, but it is because their approval and disapproval is a sign and an indication of what the matter is by Allah Ta’ala.

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: 

"What the (good) Muslim considers as good, must be good by Allah Ta’ala and what the (good) Muslims considers as reprehensive, must be reprehensible by Allah Ta’ala."

For example, Muslims have considered 20 Rak'aats of Taraweeh with Jamaat in the Masjid as good. Therefore, it must be something good by Allah Ta’ala. Similarly, Muslims have found that conducting Khutbah in a foreign language besides the Arabic language is not good. Therefore, it must be reprehensive by Allah Ta’ala. Likewise, if a person gives 3 Talaaq to his wife all at once, all the 3 Talaaq will be binding according to the research of all the 4 Aimmah. This means that it should also be correct by Allah Ta’ala.
