Reflection

You tell people not to follow any Imam and to follow only the Qur’an and the Hadith. So, why do you do classes and conduct talks? Are you anticipating for people to listen to you and to follow you? But you are the one who says that one should not follow an Imam (Mujtahid). Are you better than a Mujtahid? Have you reached the rank of Ijtihad? Do you know what Ijtihad means and what criteria should a Mujtahid have? And yet, people, who are listening to your talk and attending your classes do not know Arabic. How can they say that they are following the Qur’an and the Hadith only - when they do not know Arabic? They listen and digest blindly without doing any research. And what research will they be able to do as they do not know Arabic?

If it is not allowed to follow an Imam who has reached the level of Ijtihad whose potential and competence are recognised by the entire Ummah, then it is all the more not allowed to follow an insignificant person like you who does not even know the abcd in the Shari’ah too. Moreover, you do not even know Arabic as you conduct the Khutbah in a foreign language. I came to know of this as it was you who said that if there is not even one person who knows Arabic in the assembly, then it is permissible to conduct the Khutbah in another language besides Arabic.

So, according to what you are saying, you do not have to do classes or conduct talks. Everyone must just take a copy of the Qur’an and a series of Hadith and that too in Arabic please.

Allah says:

"O you who have Imaan! Why do you say that which you did not do?" (S 61: V 2)
