AND A PRINCIPLE
When the tribe of Quraish had renovated the Ka'bah Shareef, they could not complete it as it was according to the plan of Hazrat Ibrahim (Alaihis Salaam) due to a lack of means. Therefore, part of the Ka'bah had remained incomplete. The part which remained incomplete is called Hateem, which was only fenced, with no building on it. Later on, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had intended to complete it but he had changed his mind in order not to create confusion in the minds of people.
We learn a principle from what has occurred:
Something which is good and ensures harmony is better than something which is better but creates confusion and division. It is better to have a nice dish to which everyone agrees than seeking a better dish that creates dissension.
