Imaam Abu Hanifah (Rahmatullahi Alayh) narrated a Hadith from Hazrat 'Ataa (Radiyallahu Anhu) which he narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radiyallahu Anhu) that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had a toppee.

In another version, Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Radiyallahu Anhu) said that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had a Syrian toppee.

In Tabrani, it is narrated that Ibn 'Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) said that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had a white toppee.

Ibn 'Assaakir narrated that Hazrat ‘Aishah (Radiyallahu Anha) said that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had worn a white toppee. And in another version of Ibn 'Assaakir, it is said that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had worn a Yemeni toppee. In the battlefields, he was wearing toppees with ear-like spikes and at times, he would take off his toppee and would put it in front of him like a Sutrah when he was performing Salah.
