ANARCHY AND ITS HARMFUL OUTCOME

If we give the public the freedom to practice upon everyone's opinion, it will lead the public to anarchy. That is, the general public will tend to follow and hold on to the opinion which is in his favour, advantage and interest. Therefore, he will listen to so-called soft music according to the opinion of those who authorise it. Similarly, he will contract temporary marriages according to the opinion of others, especially when there is possibility for him to find something in the Qur’an which apparently supports his tendency. He will also take the opportunity to practice a series of nonsense with the excuse that it is permissible according to some. We know the end result. Everyone will have their own way of living. Everyone will claim that he is following Deen. Finally, the pleasure-seeker will reign everywhere with a deformed Deen as a cover. The true Deendaar will be considered as extremist and close-minded people while those who are deviated will be considered as great scholars of Deen. It is exactly at this stage that Ma'roof (good) will become Munkar (evil) and vice versa. Generally, it will be a very difficult and catastrophic era due to freedom and tolerance in practicing Deen. That is why the great Ulama felt the need to advise the general public to follow only one guideline and only one school of thought in order to preserve the Ummah from anarchy.
