Spending Mehr on one's Husband

Question
Assalamu'alaikum
I would like to know if i can spend my mahr to help my husband financially
Answer
Walaikum salaam wa rahmatullah wa barakaatuh
Mehr is a dowry that is given to the wife after the nikah. Once given, the wife becomes the sole owner of it. She's free to do whatever she wishes with it. Henceforth, she can spend it on her husband by gifting it to him or even as a loan if she so wishes.
And Allah knows best
