Question

Assalamulaikum, I wish to do a nikkah, but my parents are not agreeing because they believe that it's not the right time and it's better to wait longer. I already have my fiancé and we want to make it halal as soon as possible

Answer

Waalaikumussalaam

Nabi صَلّى اللهُ عليهِ واٰله وسلّم said to him: ‘Ali! Three are not to be delayed: Salat when its time comes, a funeral whet it is present, and the (marriage of a) single woman when there is an equal for her.” [Tirmidhi 171]

From the above Hadith, we understand that one should not delay a Nikah when a suitable partner is found. As you have mentioned in your query that you want to make it Halaal as soon as possible because it is not permissible to keep any sort of contact with one's future husband prior to Nikaah, We would suggest that :

Make the elders of your family such as Dada, Nana, Chacha etc... speak to your parents and make them understand the above mentioned Hadith. The Aalim, Imaam of your locality can also be used for this noble purpose.
