Question

My husband has die recently and am not registrated to muslim family council what procedure should i follow to apply for widow national pension

Answer

Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. We are truly sorry for your loss. May Allah paak grant your husband maghfirat, grant him Jannah and give you strength during this difficult time.

Regarding the Widow’s Pension in Mauritius, the authorities usually require a legally recognised marriage (either civil or a registered nikaah). If your nikaah was not registered with the Muslim Family Council then you may go to the Ministry of Social Security Office and explain your situation. They may guide you on alternative documents, such as affidavits or supporting statements, to help prove your relationship.

It may take a bit more time and a longer process, but they will advise you on the best way forward. May Allah make things easy for you and grant you patience.
