Question

Bismillahir ra'hamaanir ra'heem Assalaamu 'alaikum wa ra'hmatullah Dear Mufti Saheb, I would just want to confirm the validity of the halal certificates issued by the Jummah Mosque with regards to certain restaurants such as Debonnairs, Steers, etc. Please kindly advise if based on information available to the JUM, whether these halal certificates can be taken in to consideration. Jazaa kAllah Wassalaam Khalil

Answer

wa alaikumus salaam warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh. As precautionary measure the JUM is reluctant about certifying non muslim's outlets specially where non-halal stuffs including meat are sold. We don't know about other organisation's stands and principles. So it is imprudent to pronounce about them.
