What is more difficult
A person can become whatever he wants through his efforts. And this is easy. For example, it is easy to become a Hafiz, an Aa’lim, a Mufti, an Islamologist or any logist that one wants. Similarly, it is not difficult to become a doctor, an engineer or anything that one wants. But what is difficult and very difficult is to become a human being in the true sense of the word.
For a person to become a human being in the true sense of the word, he must free himself from his evil characters such as selfishness, jealousy, boasting, pride, hypocrisy, etc. It is very sad and unfortunate to see that dignitaries of the society are prisoners of these evil behaviours. It is an epidemic that has not spared anyone. People tend to make effort in fields that are materially profitable because they are attracted to the material world. But if they do not make an effort to get rid of their bad characters, it is because they do not see any material profit. On the contrary, they find it to be an obstacle to their progress in Dunya. And they find their success in not correcting their mistake. That is why the majority does not worry about reforming themselves. This is how we are living in a world where there are humans who are not human in the true sense of the word.
