Heavy load

A powerful vehicle can make you reach your destination very quickly. On the other hand, a vehicle that is not so powerful will cause delay. But sometimes, the opposite can happen. For example, a slow vehicle on a road having no traffic can make you reach quickly. On the other side, the power and speed of a vehicle will not be able to do anything if there is a heavy load in front of it.

The same applies to the life of a person. His intelligence and his performance cannot be of any benefit to him if he got bad company. Bad company is a heavy load on the journey of the life of a person. This handicaps him and prevents him from reaching his destination with ease. On the other hand, a simple person gets every chance / opportunity of progressing in life if he does not have bad company. Thus, just like a good driver looks for opportunity to overtake a heavy load, in the same way, a person must be on his guard from bad company. According to a Hadith, a person tends to have the manners of his close friend. Thus, every person must be careful before befriending anyone.
