Sin (Gunnah)

Sin refers to anything that goes against the command of Allah Ta’ala. Thus, it is very grave. And it is graver than poison because poison aggravates the health of a person temporarily but sins can make one suffer eternally.

There is no benefit in committing sins. A person renders himself miserable by committing sins. One can say that there is great pleasure in committing sins but we should know that this pleasure is a temporary pleasure. After that, there will be suffering forever.

What’s the use of rejoicing for a while and lamenting forever? After all, intelligent people do not reason in that way.
