The name of Allah Ta’ala

Allah Ta’ala is great. It is only Allah Ta’ala who knows His Greatness. As for us, we must simply say that there is nothing similar to Allah Ta’ala. Allah Ta’ala is incomparable. In the same way, the name of Allah Ta’ala is also very vast. It is only those who are very fortunate, who get the chance to take this blessed name. People who get the opportunity to take the blessed name of Allah Ta’ala must consider themselves very fortunate.

Allah Ta’ala refers those who take His name as the intelligent ones. In the true sense of the word, they are the ones who are intelligent because they have understood how to choose something that is not only beneficial in this world, but which will bring a lot of happiness in the Qabr and in the Aakhirah.

On the other hand, those, who have wasted their precious time in singing songs or indulging in vain talk, have deprived themselves of this priceless favour. It's like a person who bet all his capital in the casino and finally, he is left with nothing. He suffers and he makes his wife and children suffer together with him. Only a stupid person can call such a person an intelligent person.

Just as everything has a taste, the name of Allah Ta’ala also has an extraordinary flavour. An incomparable flavour. It is incomparable just as Allah Ta’ala is incomparable. There are also people who have had the honour of tasting this flavour. That’s why they get difficulty and they suffer if they have to refrain from taking that name, just as there are some who has difficulty in taking that name.

Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to remain in the remembrance of Allah Ta’ala all the time. And he had advised a Sahaabi (Radiyallahu Anhu) to keep his tongue engaged in taking the name of Allah Ta’ala. We render ourselves fortunate by taking the name of Allah Ta’ala. We should not waste time. We should make the most of it as long as we are alive.

People, who have deprived themselves of this favour, have all the right to regret on the day of Qiyamah. But it is so precious that those who have sacrificed their lives in taking this name, will regret for the moments that they have let pass without taking the name of Allah Ta’ala in it.
