Like children…

When a child is given a bath, he screams and cries as though you are causing him great harm. Yet you are cleansing him. He is immature. This is why the goodness that you are doing to him seems to be a cause of difficulty to him. This is an attitude that a person continues to adopt even when he grows up. However, this time it is in a different way.

When a person is told to refrain from evil and take the path to the Masjid, he becomes angry. When he is told to dress properly and not to dress indecently, then without hesitation and delay, he tells you to mind your own business. When a lady is told to stop living with her husband as he has already given her 3 Talaaq, then one becomes bad in her eyes, as according to her, one is depriving her of her well-being. Yet, one is preventing her from living under the wrath of Allah Ta'ala and one is purifying her. However, she is not aware of all that. She only knows this Dunya. She did not yet see the need to build her Aakhirah where she has to live forever.

Likewise, a person does not find it good when he is told not to do the Khutbah of Jum'ah in another language other than Arabic. Yet one is inviting him towards the path which has beenhas been set out by Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) and which has been practiced by the entire Ummah from the Sahaabah-e-Kiraam (Radiyallahu Anhum) until today. But, he considers the Khutbah to be a speech. However, if this is in actual fact a speech, it is not necessary that a person comes all the way to do it. It could be done through a tape recorder or a CD. In that case, one person will suffice for the entire island.

If you do this, you yourself will not want to believe what the next generation will do. That's why stop behaving like children.

… just like a baby

People look for all kinds of solutions or detergents of good quality to remove stains on the clothes or on the face. And they don't hesitate to spend huge sums of money for this. Although they fail continuously, they do not refrain from spending. There is a solution or detergent which is very effective which does not leave any stain. It is Istighfar and Taubah which cleanse one of sins and purifies one just like a baby.
