… When you have Allah with you…

You love someone. And you love him / her very much. Your day begins by talking to him / her and it also ends by a last Salaam before retiring to bed. Suppose you go to an invitation. You see everyone that you want to see but only one person is missing. Everyone is there but the person whom you love a lot is not there. If you really love him / her, you will find this gathering very dull having no ambiance.

This is what happens to a person who loves Allah Ta'ala more than anything. Without Allah, he feels isolated and neglected although he may be well surrounded. On the other side, when he feels the presence of Allah Ta'ala, he feels that he has everything even if it seems that he has nothing at all. What else do you need when you have Allah!

A backyard which is filled with thousands of poultry can do nothing in the presence of only one lion, even if it be an old lion. Likewise, one should understand that the support of the whole Dunya cannot be of benefit in any way if it’s merely Allah Ta'ala who is not in your favour. On the other side, the mere support of Allah is sufficient to dispense us of the entire Dunya. This is to such an extent that a person can be in complete well-being without any means of comfort also.
