The most appropriate way to make Dua

Before being able to meet a great personality in the Dunya, one must sometimes go through a line of officers and secretaries. This is done for their own security and to avoid inconveniences. And people approve of these measures.

Insaan is weak and vulnerable. That's why he has to do all these. And sometimes he may not grant you access also if he finds that you are a cause of trouble for him.

But Allah Ta'ala does not have these impediments. Allah Ta'ala has capacity over everything and no one has any capacity over Allah Ta'ala. That's why there is no rendezvous or secretary to meet before speaking to Allah Ta'ala. A person can communicate with Allah Ta'ala when he wants and where he wants. But there is a way to communicate with Allah Ta'ala. According to a Hadith, Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) had advised a Sahaabi (Radiyallahu Anhu) to first praise Allah Ta'ala and then to send Durud Shareef before imploring Allah Ta'ala. Thus, this is the best way to make Dua. In the same way, Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) showed us the propitious time to make Dua. According to a Hadith, Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "The moments when the Duas are more accepted, are in the middle of the night and after the Farz Salah." Thus, we must take advantage of these two propitious moments, especially after the Farz Salah. We should not miss these moments. These moments are more certain than a lottery. People keep buying lottery tickets with the mere hope that they can win the first prize. But yet it is Haraam. And if people are neglecting these propitious moments despite its immense benefits, it is due to their weakness. We should correct this weakness.
