The best wealth

In reply to a question that the Sahabah-e-Kiraam (Radiyallahu Anhum) had asked Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) as to what is the best wealth, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied:

  1. A heart which is filled with gratitude for Allah Ta'ala,
  2. A tongue which is engaged in Zikrullah,
  3. A good wife who helps one in one's Imaan.

Everyone knows the value of the Dunya even if its value is limited and ephemeral. That's why everyone is running behind this Dunya without having to study its value in a particular institution. As for the real wealth that Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) recommended us to acquire, we are not taking it into consideration. This is because we do not have that firm conviction that we should have, to be motivated to do a work. This kind of conviction is acquired by staying in the company of the pious for a considerable amount of time and it is this same means which has been adopted since always. And actually this means is the easiest, the most effective and the safest. Through this means, a little knowledge of Deen also is a lot. Otherwise, an ocean of knowledge also can become a deviating factor.
