Elder brother

An elder brother must act as an elder brother at home. He must be a good example to those who are smaller than him at home. If the elder brother himself does not know how to dress properly, then what example will he give to his younger brothers! If he himself wear 'shorts' at home, then the younger ones will do much more. In this case, it is the elder brother who will be responsible.

Allah Ta'ala has designated one as an elder brother in Dunya to compulsorily lead an exemplary life. It is through one's negligence that others do not know the true way of life. Others will definitely be guilty by Allah Ta'ala. Did one realise that one will also be guilty of the harm committed by others?

According to a Hadith, a person who introduces a good practice, will get its reward and the reward of all those who will follow him in this. Likewise, the one who propagates a bad practice, will be sinful and will have to bear the burden of all those who will imitate him in this bad work. Thus, be cautious, elder brother!
