To make one's Salah Qaza
Just as Salah is obligatory, likewise it is obligatory to perform it in its prescribed time. For example, the Salah of Fajr must be performed before sunrise. If due to laziness a person continues to sleep and performs the Salah of Fajr after sunrise, it means that he has performed it after its appointed time. To perform a Salah after its appointed time is called making Salah Qaza. And this is a major sin if it is done without a valid reason.
A doctor while attending a serious and urgent case missed his Salah at the appointed time. This is a valid reason. Likewise, in rescuing or saving a person in difficulty, one missed Salah, thus, this also is a valid reason. But wedding, touring, picnic or ceremonies are not valid reasons. One must not miss one's Salah for such reasons.
A person fell asleep and remained asleep until he missed his Salah on time. There is no blame on this person but if he spends the night in useless activities and due to this, he goes to sleep very late at night, then he is at fault because it is he who is the cause of not being able to wake up on time.
