Testimony of a person who neglect Salah

A person can be honourable in the eyes of people because he has great diplomat and a great job. He may have a very good reputation in the society but if there is no Salah in his life, then according to the Shariah, he does not hold the same value that he has in the eyes of people. His testimony is not accepted according to the Shariah because the criterion for the acceptance of testimony is that the person must be trustworthy. A person who leaves out Salah, goes down to a level where he cannot be trusted and thus he becomes an unworthy person. And this applies to everyone who neglect a Farz or Waajib or a person who is accustomed to neglecting his Sunnah Mu'akkadah. Likewise, this applies to a person who commits sins.

This shows that a person who is truly worthy and honourable is a person who practices his Deen well and he remains aloof from all kinds of sins.

It is very sad that people fear the police and prison. That is why they avoid certain things. But they continue to sin and to break the commands of Allah Ta'ala. Is it because they do not fear Allah Ta'ala and the fire of Jahannam or because they do not believe in it?
