Dunya

Dunya is a medicine that must be consumed in case of necessity. And its dose must be respected. Its overdose is fatal. Sometimes, it becomes incurable forever and cannot be remedied even by death.

The first thing that it attacks is the heart. A heart filled of Dunya will always be far from Aakhirah. People who love Allah Ta'ala will love Aakhirah and Allah Ta'ala comes in a heart that does not contain Dunya. Worldly attachment keeps a person away from Allah Ta'ala and makes him stoop into all kinds of lowliness. He does not hesitate to lie, steal, deceive people and harm those who obstruct his way. Without doubt, this is not a way of life. A life without Allah Ta'ala is like a colourless drawing that has no charm. Life without Allah Ta'ala is a life without charm. A heart which is devoid of the love of Allah Ta'ala is like a devastated house.

Thus, charm in life comes from the love that a person has for his Rabb. And this love comes from abundance of Zikrullah and being in the company of those whose hearts are filled with this love.
