Miscarriage

When a woman has a miscarriage, one must see if whatever has come out, has a body shape that can be distinguished. If there is any organ that has been formed, it is considered as a baby that is as though the woman gave birth. If a woman was in Iddat of Talaaq or Iddat of the death of her husband, her Iddat will end by such miscarriage. On the other hand, if nothing can be distinguished, it will be a mere bleeding. This bleeding will be considered as haiz under 2 conditions: Firstly, the bleeding must last for 72 hours or more. Secondly, it must be a bleeding that occurred after a period of cleanliness of 15 days or more. Otherwise, it will be Istihaaza. Note that a woman in the state of Istihaaza must perform Salaah and keep Roza if it is during the month of Ramadan. She merely has to renew Wuzu for every Salaah time.
