Live for Allah Ta'ala

Everyone has a purpose in life and everyone is making effort to attain his aim. One spends one's energy, wealth and time to achieve one's aim. And the value of life depends on what one becomes finally. A person spends 10 years to become a doctor and another spends the same number of years to become a sheet metal worker or a mechanic. Thus, the life of one seems more valuable than that of the other.

To live for Allah Ta'ala is also an aim. And this aim is the noblest of aims. It is an aim that is most valuable in the existence of a person. There is no aim that can render the life of a person more valuable than this aim. If one spent all one's possessions to attain just a little of this goal, then this is still good. This is because its effect will remain forever. It will remain with one in this world. It will follow one in one's Qabr and it will accompany one till Aakhirah.

Thus, there is nothing that can render one's life or existence valuable. It will become valuable solely when one spends it in living for Allah Ta'ala. Living for Allah Ta'ala means to spend one’s life in the obedience of Allah Ta'ala according to the principles of Rasulullah (Sallalaahu Alaihi Wasallam). On the other hand, to turn the back on Allah Ta'ala and not to follow Deen will render one's life bitter and miserable.  Difficulties in Qabr and Aakhirah are separate.
