What prosperity…

Deen is the mode of life that Allah Ta'ala has chosen for Insaan to live his life accordingly. It is Allah Ta'ala who created the earth and whatever it contains. And it is Allah Ta'ala who created everything that exists. There is only one Creator. Thus, there is no creator besides Allah Ta'ala and neither is there any creature that was created by anyone besides Allah Ta'ala. Thus, Insaan must follow that mode of life which Allah Ta'ala has chosen for him. Insaan does not have the right to live in a way other than this.

One complains to people when one's children disobey one. Since one did a lot for one’s children, one believes that they must obey one. In fact, one is perfectly right to believe such. But one commits a big mistake when one does not apply it to oneself. Did one ever question oneself whether one is living one's life according to the commands of Allah Ta'ala who is the one who gave one everything? How many things is one doing from morning to evening which are not in accordance to the commands of Allah Ta'ala! One sleeps late without performing 'Isha. One spends a lot of time in front of the television which is not profitable other than satisfying one's curiosity. It is something that fills one's heart with darkness and empties it of the Nur of Imaan. It puts such a poison in one's mind that it makes one love and satisfy oneself with evil and makes one irritated with good. In the morning, one wakes up late without performing the Salah of Fajr. And all our activities during the day are not according to what Allah Ta'ala has chosen for us. Not to live according to the commands of Allah Ta'ala is called disobeying Allah Ta'ala. Thus, what prosperity is one expecting in the disobedience of Allah Ta'ala.
