TWO PROBLEMS

We have two kinds of problems; the first in Dunya and the second in Aakhirah. One must not try to solve one's problems in Dunya by creating a problem in Aakhirah. This is like solving a small problem by creating a big problem. Does one think that it is a good idea to clean saliva with urine? But people only consider the present. They do not consider the future. They merely consider the temporary benefit even if it may make them suffer forever. A person who befriends those of wisdom will not commit such a mistake. Thus, why not contact someone who has knowledge and who is wise to solve our problems? This can make us solve our problems without creating a more serious one.

People may ask how this can happen. It is easy to understand because when a person neglects Deen for a worldly advantage, then he is certainly solving a simple problem by creating a big problem. People are too hasty. Otherwise, when a person abandons a benefit which is against Shari'ah, Allah Ta'ala gives him better than what he abandons. On the other hand, if he disobeys Allah Ta'ala in solving a problem, Allah Ta'ala puts him in a bigger problem. Solving a problem using a means which is against the Shariah is not a solution. In fact, it is a means to make the situation worse.
