Stop making yourself miserable

We cause harm to ourselves when we cause harm to others. It is true that we do not notice its harmful consequences immediately but it is also true that we have to answer for everything that we do. We will not be able to hide anything. We can forget the harm or the wrong that we committed but Allah Ta'ala knows everything and He does not forget anything.

If we harmed someone due to certain benefit, we should know that the benefit in Dunya is a benefit that we can enjoy only a little and that too for a short time. And due to this, we can lose the real and eternal well-being. It is very stupid to lose such a significant well-being for a meagre benefit. Thus, we render ourselves miserable by causing harm to someone. It is like cutting a branch on which we are sitting. Is not this stupidity?
