Health
One knows the value of a thing when one loses it. Today, we have health. But we do not know its value because ours might be sound and in good condition. This is what happens when we have something in great quantity or in abundance. Youth age is usually associated with courage, energy and good health. Seldom does a youngster know the value of these favours. That is why their health is incorrectly utilised. Maybe it is their young age that does not allow them to understand what a privilege they have. But there is something which is called experience. It is something very precious and valuable which can be learned by listening to people who have it. It is not necessary to know something only by experiencing it. One can get an idea of this by listening to those who already had this experience. That is why youngsters should take benefit from those who have already lost that favour known as health.
Elderly people no more have courage. They regret because they have wasted their courage in extravagance. Thus, one has to listen to those who are on a higher level because they see further than that which we have not yet seen and which we will see much later. It is in the interest of the youngster to take benefits from those who have experience. Success is achieved by combining the courage of young people with the experience of the wise and elderly. Whose words may have more weight than that of Rasulullah (Sallalaahu Alaihi Wasallam)? Rasulullah (Sallalaahu Alaihi Wasallam) advised us to make the most of our youth before old age overtake us. He also advised us to get closer to those who have wisdom.
