Muhabbat for Allah Ta'ala
The Muhabbat or admiration that one has for a person makes one do everything for that person. Muhabbat makes something difficult become easy. Sometimes the unthinkable becomes obtainable.
When a person loves something, he makes effort to attain it. If he really likes a thing, then he does not care about time and money. he reaches a stage where he forgets everything and loses sight of everything around him. For this person only one thing exists and that is the thing which he loves and admires.
Take a young girl who has just turned 18 years old. She loves someone to the extent that it becomes unbearable to live without him. Without hesitation, she leaves her home to go live with the one whom she loves. She abandons her family, her parents, her siblings, her comfort and even her Deen merely for the one whom she loves. She does all this with happiness and joy. If we had this same Muhabbat for Allah Ta'ala, then we would have never found the Deen difficult. We would have endured everything with pleasure and contentment solely for the love that we have for our Rabb. Practicing the Deen would have been not only easy but enjoyable. The examples of the pious are in front of us. They did not hesitate to give up anything which becomes an obstacle in the path of Allah Ta'ala. Hazrat Ibrahim bin Adham (Rahmatullaahi alayh) had abandoned his kingdom to get Allah Ta'ala. If someone can sacrifice his honour, his dignity, his status for a corpse who will pass away and who will be condemned to become dust, then why can’t a person sacrifice everything for Al-Hayy, Al-Qayyum who existed since always and will exist eternally? A being who always looks after us. A Being who takes care of us all the time. A Being who gives us everything that we need. That is why people who are really intelligent will give their energy, their time, their wealth and everything at their disposal for the pleasure of Allah Ta'ala. The pleasure of Allah is in following His Deen which means to live according to the commandments of Allah Ta'ala and the Mubaarak Tareeqah and Sunnah of our beloved Nabi (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam).
There are many things which normally seem to be very difficult but as we say, Muhabbat makes something difficult become not only easy but extremely enjoyable. If you really love someone, will it be difficult to spend a sleepless night for his sake? Youngsters are already spending sleepless nights with extreme joy and pleasure for the things that they love. One who truly loves Allah Ta'ala does not find it difficult to wake up in the middle of the night for the sake of his Rabb. He cannot explain how he feels when placing his forehead in Sajdah before his Rabb. What he acquires is inestimable. But what exactly does he acquire? It is easier that you experience it yourself. You will get an idea of how it feels without you being able to explain it.
"اللهم ارزقنى حبك وحب من ينفعنى"
"O Allah, grant me Your love and the love of the one whose love is beneficial for me by You."
