Taqwa and Taubah

Taqwa or the obedience of Allah Ta'ala is like a fortress. Outside this fortress, there is a type of forest which is haunted and infested by ferocious animals. Coming out of this fortress is 'Fisq' which means to sin. As long as a person is in the obedience of Allah Ta'ala, it is as if he is protected in this fortress. As soon as he commits a sin, it is as if he comes out of the fortress.

Here he exposes himself to all sorts of attacks and ferocity. If he repents and makes Taubah, it is as if he has entered the fortress again. Therefore, it is in his interest to repent as quickly as possible before being attacked and devoured. Thus, the well-being of a person is in Taqwa and Taubah.
