A hotline

There was a time when it was not only difficult but impossible to contact people who lived in certain parts of the globe. Nowadays, we have the advantage of telecommunication. we can contact any person we wish to in any part of the world. Nevertheless, if the person himself does not want to speak to you, then all the means of communication will be useless.

Any difficulties or impediments that we may experience when we want to contact someone, is unfound/lacking when we want to contact our Rabb. Allah Ta'ala is our Rabb who listens to all those who want to contact him. There is no impediment to contact Him. We can communicate with Him at any time we wish. He is neither tired, nor sleeps, nor needs rest. It is a hotline that operates 7 days a week and 24 hours a day without a day off and without an interruption of a tiny fraction of a second.

Allah Ta'ala was with Hazrat Ibrahim (Alaihis Salam) when his people had thrown him into the fire. Allah Ta'ala was with Hazrat Musa (Alaihis Salam) when he had crossed the sea. Allah Ta'ala Himself was with Hazrat Yusuf (Alaihis Salam) when his brothers had thrown him in the well. Allah Ta'ala was with Hazrat Yunus (Alaihis Salam) when he was in the belly of the fish. Allah Ta'ala was with Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) and Hazrat Abu Bakr (Radiyallahu Anhu) when they were hiding in the cave.

"... .. لا تحزن إن الله معنا ... .."

"... do not grieve, verily Allah is with us ..." (S 9: V 40)

They were disconnected from everyone with no means of communication, yet at that time, they did not have any difficulty communicating with Allah Ta'ala. This line is still operational until today and it will always remain in service. We don’t have to worry about lines that are out of service or hearing of overwhelming and unpleasant answers like: "Does not exist" or "Cannot be reached". Let's connect ourselves to the line of Allah Ta'ala on a permanent basis. This is when we will know the joy of living.
